Canada in communication with Philippines on toxic wastes
1 May 2014
The Canadian government recognizes the call of petitioners, both Filipino and Canadian, to have the container vans filled with hazardous wastes brought back to Canada, the Embassy of Canada said Monday.

“The Government of Canada continues to be in communication with the Philippines authorities on this matter with a view to address the situation in accordance with our respective regulations,” it said.
